KB0 10 clubs go abroad for the first time in 3 years… Quenching the season begins in earnest

10 professional baseball teams are going abroad all at once to prepare for the 2023 season. Clubs plan to move to the United States, Japan and Australia to start quenching for the 2023 season. It is to build up physical strength and tactics in preparation for long-term races in warm weather in three years.

Each club will depart overseas for the spring camp from the 29th.

It has been three years since the spring of 2020, before the novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19) pandemic, that professional baseball teams are leaving overseas spring camps.

The first teams to leave the country are KT Wiz and Hanwha Eagles. At 2:30 pm on the 29th, we will move to Arizona, USA on the same flight. On the same day, NC Dinos, Kiwoom Heroes, and Doosan Bears will also depart from Incheon International Airport. NC trains in Tucson, Arizona, and Kiwoom trains in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Doosan is the only one of the 10 clubs to set up a training ground in Sydney, Australia.

A total of 4 teams will depart on the 30th. SSG Landers (Vero Beach, Florida), KIA Tigers (Tucson, Arizona), and LG Twins (Scottsdale, Arizona) are heading to the United States, while Samsung is leaving for Okinawa, Japan.

The Lotte Giants depart from Busan on February 1, the latest among the 10 clubs. Lotte is the only one to conduct the first training in Guam, USA.

Meanwhile, the national team players participating in the 2023 World Baseball Classic (WBC) will digest team spring camp and gather on February 14 at the Tucson Kino Complex in Arizona, USA, the national team’s training ground.

The WBC national team will train and practice in the United States until February 27th, return to Korea on March 1st, adapt to Gocheok Sky Dome, and move to Osaka, Japan on March 4th. If the national team advances to the semifinals, it will move to Miami, Florida, USA, and return to Korea on March 23 to participate in the KBO League.
