Jeong Dong-hyun, a gold medalist at the 2011 Astana-Almaty and the 2017 Sapporo Asian Winter Games, has the best record ever for a Korean by ranking 14th in the 2017 Zagreb event in the FIS World Cup.

He also placed 21st in the men’s alpine ski slalom at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, the highest Korean Olympic ranking ever.

In the women’s slalom event, Japan’s Chisaki Maeda took first place with a time of 1:36:11.

Meanwhile, the season’s Far East Cup held in Korea ends tomorrow with the slalom event held at the same venue. The last Far East Cup will be held for four days from the 28th of this month to the 3rd of March at Sugadaira Kogen Ski Resort in Nagano Prefecture, Japan.
