K League 1 FC Seoul’s Willian has been named the winner of the Handon August Player of the Month award, sponsored by the club’s official partner Handon.
Willian beat out Kim Shin-jin and Han Seung-kyu in a fan vote on FC Seoul’s fan page, earning his second Handon Player of the Month award of the year after winning in May.
In Seoul’s four games in August, Willian started three and came off the bench once, scoring two goals. In particular, he scored a dramatic equalizer in late stoppage time to overcome a 1-2 deficit against Ulsan Hyundai on August 27, sending fans into a frenzy.
