Leeds United part ways with manager Sam Allardyce.
Back in May, Leeds brought in a new manager to avoid relegation. The man in question was Allardyce. Also known as ‘Big Sam’, he has plenty of experience as an English Premier League (EPL) manager. He’s managed Crystal Palace, West Ham United, Newcastle United, Everton, and more before taking over the England national team in 2016.
Leeds were looking to climb the table under Allardyce, but it wasn’t going to be easy. When he arrived, there were just four games left on the schedule. The opposition was formidable. They faced ‘champions’ Manchester City, followed by Newcastle United, West Ham, and Tottenham Hotspur.
In the end, I didn’t get a single point. Against City, we defended for the entire 90 minutes with a two-row defense, but lost 1-2 to a multi-goal performance from Ilkay Gundogan. Against Newcastle, we managed to hold on for a 2-2 draw despite the sending off of Junior Pirlo. However, a combined seven goals against West Ham and Tottenham resulted in two consecutive defeats and relegation to 19th in the league.
As a result, Leeds have decided to part ways with Allardyce. “Allardyce has had talks with club CEO Angus Kinnear about his future and has decided to part ways,” British outlet TalkSPORT quoted The Telegraph as saying. “As a result, Leeds will look for a new manager to lead them in the Championship next season.
There are candidates. Brendan Rodgers, who left Leicester City, has been mentioned, along with Steven Gerrard, who remains unemployed after leaving Aston Villa.스포츠토토
It’s not just the managerial position that will change. According to Talk Sport, Leeds parted ways with Victor Orta in the final week of the season and are now looking for a new manager. After suffering relegation after three seasons in the top flight, Leeds will be looking for promotion to the top flight under a new regime next season.
