‘200 matches in Jeju’ Lee Chang-min, “My other hometown… I want to break the record”

Lee Chang-min is drawing a big picture.

Jeju United won 5-0 in the 13th round match of Hana One Q K League 1 2023 against Suwon FC, which was played at Suwon Sports Complex at 7:00 pm on the 14th.

Lee Chang-min started as a starter, and took part in 200 league matches (176 K League 1, 24 K League 2) in the Jeju league.

It’s been 8 years since I lived in Jeju. It is no exaggeration to say that it is now a living legend of Jeju. Changmin Lee has been active in the team for the longest time since wearing the Jeju uniform in January 2016. He played a whopping 200 games wearing only the Jeju uniform.

He is gradually approaching the stronghold of Jeju’s all-time player record 1 (Kim Ki-dong 274 games).

Lee Chang-min said, “Now Jeju Island is like my other hometown. Among the current players, I think I played for the longest time in Jeju with (Jung) Woon hyung and (Ahn) Hyeon-beom. As a member of a good team called Jeju, I have achieved a lot of achievements and progress. “I’m proud to have achieved this. If I have a personal goal in the future, I want to break the record of the most appearances for Jeju owned by coach Kim Ki-dong of Pohang. That’s why I am playing earnestly in every game.”

The reason Changmin Lee shows his affection is because he is about to break up with Jeju for a while. The military duty still remains. He is expected to receive an enlistment date soon.스포츠토토

Lee Chang-min said, “Until the day I leave, I will give my all for Jeju and say goodbye to the fans with a smile. I will of course show a good image even after I leave. I don’t want to return to Jeju in an abandoned state.”

I sit like this, but I only think of Jeju. 2017 K-League Classic Best 11 Midfielder, 2017 7th EAFF E-1 Championship Men’s National Team and one of the K-League’s best midfielders. Because there is a spirit of ‘Team First’.

Lee Chang-min expressed his anticipation, saying, “Jeju is steadily developing under the direction of coach Nam Ki-il. Seo Jin-soo and Kim Bong-soo, who will become the team’s future players, are developing rapidly. On top of that, the fans’ enthusiastic support. This is a team that I really look forward to.”
